Private & Semi Private Instruction

Private & Semi Private Instruction

from 25.00

One-hour instruction brought to you! We will focus on your personal challenges and interests to create a flow that will help you better develop your yoga asana practice.

Get into a yoga habit with your friends or family! I offer semi-private instruction for groups up to 4 and small group instruction for 5 or more. Semi private and group instruction still allows for individualized attention, but can help you build a sense of community and deepen connections with those you live, work, or play with. Having a workout buddy (or several!) helps to keep you accountable and introduces a social element to fitness. No stuffy studio nonsense here!

Where do we practice?

Usually private and semi-private instruction is taught in your home, or building exercise area. If neither of these are an option, I can find a space for an additional fee.

What do I need to bring?

An open mind, a bottle of water, your yoga mat, two or three yoga blocks, a strap or resistance band, and a blanket. If we’re in your home we may also utilize pillows. If you don’t have all of these don’t sweat it - they’re available for purchase in several stores.

I’ve never done yoga before - can you teach me?

Absolutely. I love working with new yogis. Just remember that like learning a language, cooking, or playing guitar - it will take time to learn. Private instruction is the best way to learn and ask questions instead of feeling totally lost and helpless in the back of a class.

I’m not active at all. Is that okay?

Yes. Yoga can be done by every body. Tall, short, thick, thin, tennis player, body builder, or Gumby. Yoga is an excellent way to truly connect with your body and learn how amazing fitness can make you feel. We’re going to work though, so don’t think this is the easy way out.

Do I have to commit to a package?

No. You need to make sure you want to work with me and vice versa. You may be more interested in training for a marathon, or weight training and that is totally okay. I’ll give you credit for giving it a go, and promise not to take it personally if yoga is not your cup of tea.
